- Your country, approximate age, any medical history relevant to surgery
- Approximate timeframe you're considering
Doç. Dr. Erdal personally reviews every enquiry. Reply typically same-day during clinic hours.
Step 2: Photo consultation
Within 24–48 hours of receiving good photos, you'll receive:
- Honest assessment of what's anatomically present
- What surgery could realistically deliver
- Recommended technique (upper, lower, quad, with or without combinations)
- Approximate cost range (final quote requires in-person assessment)
- Typical timeframe to schedule (we're typically 3–8 weeks out)
If your case is not appropriate for surgery — or appropriate but with significant caveats — you'll be told this honestly. About 15–20% of photo consultations result in "this isn't right for you" rather than booking.
Step 3: Booking and pre-op preparation
Once you decide to proceed, the timeline is typically:
- 6–8 weeks before surgery: deposit, flights booked, hotel reserved
- 2 weeks before: stop blood thinners, fish oil, vitamin E; reduce alcohol; final WhatsApp check-in
- Day before surgery: arrive in Istanbul; brief in-clinic meeting; full assessment
Step 4: The surgery week
- Day 0 (arrival): hotel check-in, brief clinic visit for in-person assessment, bloodwork if not done
- Day 1 (surgery): morning admission, surgery, afternoon discharge to hotel
- Day 2–4: recovery at hotel, cold compresses, light walking, eye drops
- Day 5 (clinic visit): suture removal, post-op check, bruising assessment
- Day 6 (departure or extra day): fly home or stay another night for comfort
Minimum stay: 7 nights. Comfortable stay: 10 nights. Quad procedures or combined cases: 10–14 nights.
Step 5: Remote follow-up
After you fly home, follow-up continues by WhatsApp:
- Week 2: WhatsApp photos for healing check
- Week 4: WhatsApp video call
- Month 3: formal photo set review
- Month 6: final assessment, final result photos
- Beyond: any time, no expiry — you can WhatsApp Dr. Erdal years later with a question about your case
Frequently asked questions
Do you arrange flights and hotels?
No — we don't operate as a travel agency, deliberately. Booking your own flights and hotels keeps you in control and avoids the agent-bundled-fee model that obscures pricing. We can recommend specific hotels we know work well for recovery (St. Regis, Le Méridien Etiler, Conrad Bosphorus, all within Nişantaşı/Şişli).
What if there's a complication after I'm back home?
WhatsApp first — most issues are resolvable remotely with reassurance and minor adjustments. If something requires in-person attention, we work with you to arrange care with a local plastic surgeon, or arrange a return visit to Istanbul. For the surgical-side issues that genuinely need correction, return visit and revision are covered under our 12-month policy.
