When this combination makes sense
- Both procedures have been independently considered and decided on
- Total operating time stays under ~5 hours (typical: 3.5–4.5 hours combined)
- Patient is in good general health for the longer procedure
- International patient who wants one trip rather than two
Combined recovery
The recoveries are different but overlapping:
- Blepharoplasty: visible bruising 10–14 days, swelling resolves over months
- Rhinoplasty: external splint 7 days, nasal swelling for months, full result at 12–18 months
Because rhinoplasty has a longer overall recovery curve, the combined patient is typically guided by the rhino timeline for big-picture milestones. The bleph swelling is the dominant feature in the first 2 weeks; the rhino swelling becomes the dominant feature after that.
Frequently asked questions
Can I do both procedures plus brow lift in one go?
Possible but pushes the operating time toward 6 hours, which is at the upper limit. We generally prefer to either do bleph + brow as one trip and rhinoplasty separately, or do bleph + rhino combined and consider brow lift later if still desired.
How long do I need in Istanbul for this combination?
10–14 nights minimum. Rhino splint comes off day 7; combined post-op review day 7–10; safe to fly day 10+.
